Sarah-Jayne is our newest member to the teaching teaching team at South End Music School, and joins us from Canada where she was established as a vocal and piano tutor since 2008.
Having been a Classical and Music Theatre performer across Canada since the age of 8, Sarah Jayne actively continues to perform at numerous events. In Secondary School, Sarah-Jayne went on to study Classical Voice and Vocal Jazz at a School of the Arts, where she graduated with Honours. Sarah-Jayne then went on to study Music at the McMaster University in Canada, graduating with her Bachelor of Music Degree (BA Honours) as well as a Diploma in Classical Voice.
Further to this, Sarah-Jayne also studied with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
As well as an accomplished musical theatre performer, Sarah-Jayne has amassed experience in the role of Music Director and accompanist for both community and professional theatre.
Having been teaching since 2008, Sarah-Jayne has an enviable record of teaching a wide range of genres and techniques to all ages from 4 years upwards including Music Theory, and actively encourages her piano students to participate in graded exams from the ABRSM syllabus as a measure of achievement.
From a vocal perspective, Sarah-Jayne offers tuition covering a wide range of genres and techniques from Classical, Music Theatre and Contemporary styles (including pop) and caters for the beginner to the advanced vocalist in her teaching programme.
